Well, I was headed to my teacher's apartment off of Central Park when I got snatched. So, nope. Not supposed to be here. In fact, no one is supposed to be here. Kinda a random snitchy snatch that totally doesn't care what you're supposed to be doing.
Random? Like a portal opens up and we just end up here or something?
[Cause that's really not comforting at all. She's done that before, and she doesn't really want to repeat that. Especially anything that was powerful enough to interfere with The Powers That Be. Unless it was their plan for her to end up here. One never knew with them.]
Mmm, not so much with the portalling. More like random teleportation. You get snitchy snatched and find yourself in the baseball diamond. Welcome to an alternate holding dimension that happens to be in Canukistan.
So it is an alternate dimension, then? I guess I should feel lucky no one's tried to enslave me and call me cow yet but somehow, the gratitude just isn't coming right now.
I too, have been taken to this deplorable place against my will. I have been trapped here for far longer than I would wish, with no way to return discovered.
I believe you will find a great many inhabitants of this place will say much the same.
And just how many people are here anyways? No one knows what pulls us here, who's responsible? There has to be a way for people to go home. Something we can do.
I do not know the exact number, but there are certainly enough to fill this city, though not all are from this place.
As for what is responsible for taking us from our homes, the humans have spoken of a thing called a Core. I do not comprehend this device, why it is capable of doing what it can. There is no such magic where I am from.
