The subway freaks me out, I don't like being in a closed moving space like that.

As for a thief... that would depend on if I was armed or not, but even then I have training in close combat. And if they were way stronger than me I can scream really loud too.

Well, screaming wouldn't do a whole lot of good, in that situation, since there was lots of screaming going on. What if they had you backed in a corner that you couldn't get out of?

Didn't have anything like them back home, it's just weird. I can move around pretty much just as quickly on foot anyway.

...do what you have to do to survive. If the person in question was seriously endangering my life and immobilizing them wasn't an option, getting myself out alive is top priority.
