[She had considered using text, just out of the sheer delirium she was still recovering from...but she didn't have the patience to deal with text, so she decided to go with audio, for the transmission. Although she had calmed herself down considerably from her state of mind earlier, the prolonged laughter should still be pretty telling that she ( Read more... )

[There's a small but unmistakable degree of panic in his tone:] Ella? Why wouldn't she--

[Then in a much calmer tone because HE DOESN'T CARE AT ALL, NO SIR:] What you on about?

[ She laughs. ] I guess you have me there - pizza counts. We have something similar back home, but it's a good bit doughier and doesn't have as much sauce.

Peca. It's the same thing, but roughly translates to flat cheese pie.

It's...kind of a disgusting thought to think of a pie made out of cheese, to be honest. But I get the feeling that it doesn't quite work like the pies do here.

Well, aren't the cheesecakes they make here made of cheese? And I've heard people refer to a whole pizza as a "pie" so I suppose /it's just the name. But no, it's not like a pie like Apple pie or custard pie.

I guess? I couldn't tell you how they taste though, heehee.

So are the pizzas here better than your guys' pie?

You've never had one either, huh? They look a bit different from the ones back home.

Mm... I'm not sure if they're better or worse, to be honest. I feel some loyalty to my own culture, so I feel a bit guilty if I say it's better. But saying it's worse would be dishonest.

I guess I'd have to say that they're ...good, and different. Fair?

I never got around to eating one, no. [She's a little wary of eating strange foods okay.]

Fair enough to me. I know how the whole loyalty thing goes, so I cannot fault you there.

Thanks! Heehee!

How many?

[He's genuinely curious. She doesn't sound tough, but that giggling is making her sound crazy.]

[And that's exactly why she was jumped by the thief; she didn't seem dangerous.]

Inside the subway, you mean?

[It was kind of a dizzying blur now, but she took a pause to try to estimate it.]

I think I ran into five personally? Hahaha? But two when I was with Ella.

[He gives a low whistle. Tougher than she sounds, then.]

So you saved her, basically.

[STORY OF HER LIFE.]

I...guess? Haha?

[Was it the first time she saved someone's life? Huh. It was...a weird feeling. It left her even more conflicted over her moral dilemma.]

I'm sure she would have been fine, even without me!
