[With a clatter of a heavy box dropping upon a desk, Abraham disturbs his wire-taper into audio output. His lyrical exclamation could be no more overjoyed than the heaven's singing themselves.]

Grundgütiger!

Every minute note und datum und marginalia is here, hahaa!

[Oh what humbled old laughter he harped. He could practically do a jig over ( Read more... )

[Peeking out from behind a partially open bathroom door Seward smoothed the ends of his fingers along his newly trimmed beard, wondering about the sudden source of commotion. It had been quiet over the last week and now without warning it would seem Dr. Van Helsing almost sounded mirthful? Had something of worth happened?]

Abraham..?

[And taking a step out into the living room he noted the man giving tribute to his transmitter, and how the apartment door was slightly ajar.]

[Kicking the front door closed with another click of his heels, Abraham was on the verge of dancing for joy. His merriment could light up the room, but he almost became startled through it at Seward's interruption.]

Häh? Oh, Friend John!

[Turning his shoulder as he was flitting through his files, something small and green contrasted against the professor's coat. About the size of a small parrot, not even 6 inches long, was a dainty emerald winged lizard.]

[There's a quiet assessment on his end before that gives way to a startled gasp, eyeing the pint-sized creature as though it were a winged bat or...something rather peculiar and potentially threatening.]

Professor, there's a....A thing on your shoulder!

[Not all that astonishing given that Dr. Van Helsing was practically a magnet for all sorts of beasts, even..miniature ones.

And then the second reaction..Well, something so small can't be all that worrisome, can it? Abraham was bound to get a pet, eventually. Fitting it should be reptilian.]

Gifts..?

[He's in a great mood after his dream, and ready to talk to everyone, especially people who sound happy.]

I think Christmas just came a little late this year for everyone this year. At least, it seems like everyone's getting things from home.

[And he's all too pleased to respond. It was a relieved tone to hear at least than the many bemoanings of others.]

Ja, it has indeed!

Und so good too, to hear more jubulations across the telecommunity.

What is it you received?

I got a picture that I never thought I'd see again. It'd not as nice as being able to go home, but... it's a close second, I think.

You are a lucky sort indeed, dear boy.

A photograph is a tangible memory. One in your case, to aid you in the most important thought of all:

Homestead.

Let us keep our eye on the prize, ja?

[He sounds rather dubious.]

How fortune doth smile on Death's little helpers.

Let us hope none be of misfortune and get caught under this carriage.
