What do you get someone who bought you a really nice gift? Like...way nicer and more awesome than you expected when you didn't think you were even exchanging gifts so you don't have anything at all to give him?

You think about what his hobbies are or what he needs or things he wants and you get him something along those lines.

So...sewing...stuff?

I don't know anything about sewing!

For Ishida, right?

I don't either. But you live with him. See what he has, and then go to a store and ask one of the sales people for help. Or go to a fabric store and pick out some nice fabric.

Right. I didn't think he would get me anything! Unless maybe it was a card that said, "Continuing to let you live here is my Christmas gift to you."

Okay. I could do that maybe. Are any stores open today?

You do something nice to make up for it later.

You seem pretty fired up about it.

The gift he got me cost a lot of money! I wasn't expecting it at all!

A thank-you note.

Is that really enough?

Why wouldn't it be? Honestly, I, myself, would consider it more than enough.

Really? You wouldn't expect your roommate to get you a gift, too? A note would be enough?

Well...you sound like the same kind of person as Ishida, so maybe it would be okay to do that...
