[For those who tune into the network in the early hours of the morning, there is a Song being sung. It is music without words, soft but growing in strength as the sun begins its ascent. The sound rises and falls like water upon the sand, and there's Power to it, a warmth that transcends the light of the sun that is both beautiful and terrible all ( Read more... )

[Another sleepless night of nightmares and worries for Kazuma. He's used to it by now, though, spending many of his nights when sleep eludes him on his bed, boredly fiddling with his NV and trying not to think of home.

Its been getting worse lately, too, since the 18th is fast approaching.

Its the same this night as dawn starts to peek through the curtains, when the song comes through NV. He turns it on with every intent of responding and asking who's doing it, but he finds himself suddenly more tired than he's ever been.

No, not tired. Relaxed.

Unfortunately he falls asleep with his NV still on and broadcasting to Aslan, so he gets the view of a sleeping boy for the next however many hours it stays on. But hey, at least he's finally sleeping for once.]

Hm?

[Kia's only partially awake -- the cold makes it hard for him to sleep well, and this woke him up a bit. He stares at his NV for a long moment, as if he's not sure what to say or do as he listens.]

[The Song continues as it must, tapering off into the stillness of the morning. The audio feed continues.]

[Sherlock has been awake for well over twenty four hours, mulling over his information on the Newcomer killer, the revelation that someone supposedly managed to escape the island, as well as who may have been behind that mistletoe fiasco. He always has the NV on, waiting for something new to happen. The music surprises him, but it's intriguing. He tries to contemplate it, muttering possibilities of the instruments to himself, but he feels like he could sleep for years now if he needed to. But he didn't. No. Have fun fighting that, detective.]

[No instruments here but the Voice itself, Sherlock. He's a musical accompaniment all his own.]

[He comes to that conclusion quickly enough, only to get to a more pressing question.]

...What are you?

Myself.

[This said as though a simple statement of being is explanation enough. Which, perhaps it is.]

[There's a low hum of agreement before he answers.]

How do you fare?

[ This is not expected. It wasn't the same song of home, but it was similar enough that she remained perfectly still throughout it, revelling in the sound. ]

I had not hoped to hear such songs in my presence here. From where do you come?

[Talking animals represent!]

A land called Narnia, dear heart.

It's a Song of Beginnings.

I do not know this land. [ Sad at that. If there's another land with talking animals and songs like that - ]

Do you know the Song of the Forest?

[PEACE!]

I do.

[He is the King of the Wood. He would be remiss if he did not.]
