Burrrrrrrrrrrr! It's so COLD! I've never lived someplace where it got all cold before! [Maybe she would be warmer if she wasn't wearing a bikini and miniskirt, but who's counting.]

Anybody know where I'd go about finding a coat? Not a big ol' heavy one, but a - well, I could need a big ol' heavy one for when it starts snowing, but I guess since it's ( Read more... )

[Captain Shirtless over here does not approve of your failure to tolerate the cold.]

There are some clothing stores in Sector 4 that supply coats, among other things. If you just want something warm but light, I advise you ask them about jackets or bodywarmers.

Or geography, apparently.

Unfortunately, people do tend to prefer to wear things that are practical, or look good, regardless of their health. As well as that, some jobs do require you to wear specific uniforms.

I'm mostly learning about Canayda! [Or was it pronounced Canuhda?]

Well, that's stupid! And so are uniforms. You should be able to wear whatever you want anywhere you want!

...

Do you perhaps mean Canada?

And yes, I do agree. Still, it allows people to identify what business you're in - and sometimes the outfits are necessary for safety. Regardless, I do agree with you.

So it is Canuhda! Earth is way confusing.

Yeah, I kinda understand that. I hafta wear nicer clothes to school, and I need to put on a jumpsuit when I'm welding. I just hate how itchy wearing so much clothes can be.

I'm sure.

...then don't do it. I'm sure as long as it doesn't breach legal rights, nobody will care.

So there's laws about what you can and can't wear, too?

Not quite like that. The laws are actually known as "indecency laws". They simply prevent you being naked in public - or topless. Basically, what you're wearing is close to the bare minimum of acceptable.

Please tell me you aren't discouraging her.

No, I'm just making sure she doesn't get arrested. I'm perfectly fine with what she's wearing now.

They aren't going to arrest her for that, they'd become too distracted. You, perhaps, they'd haul in.

You would be quite a nice boy if you didn't open your mouth, I think.

You wouldn't have to be concerned about public indecency if you wore a shirt, I think. So now we both have things to work on.

I'm not concerned about my own. Thanks, but I have my reasons for not wearing one, and nobody minds if a man goes without a shirt anyway.

Unfortunately, women have something that it is considered improper to expose.
