There are buildings that probably hire guards at night just to make sure nothing breaks through the darkness proofing- I really don't know where they hire for that, though. Or if they take newcomers. But guard jobs are usually easier to get in dark hours, I think, because it's less about the people you're trying to keep out, and more about handling the monsters.

If there are, I'm afraid I am not at all familiar with them. There are rumors, of course, but I cannot say I know anything certain.
