[He's sitting on a roof somewhere, not looking bothered by the afternoon heat - although he does have a bottle of water beside him.  It's a short building so the view is rather obscure right now.]

So I was wondering: what's the name of the world you're from?  Have you been to another one before?  If so, what was that world's name and how did you get

[He's not going to even bother replying, he just heads up onto the roof via the fire escape.]

[Slowly, he acquiesces and nods.] ...Okay. That sounds safe enough.

Yeah. [He flops back on the roof, hands under his head to form a pillow.] You know I'm gonna stay with you until you kick me out, right?

[walkthedawn]

[He glances down at him.] You know I can't kick you out, Sora.

Sure you could. You could say: [Clears his throat and attempts to sound more like Riku but fails, horribly.] "Sora, go take up space in your own apartment for a while and come back to visit." Or something. I wouldn't get mad or anything.

Buuuut if you're not gonna kick me out then what will we do?

[He laughs gently, shaking his head.] You'll probably want to go by Friday or Saturday, when I start work again and I'm out all the time. It's up to you for now.

I don't know. Maybe go for a walk, go try this diner of yours.

[Laughs lightly.] Hey, I could find something to do while you were out. There's a bunch of stuff I can occupy myself with.

[Talk of his diner has him sitting up quickly again.] Yeah! I haven't been there in a while.

C'mon! [He just drops off of the roof, landing safely on the ground.]

You have a job, too.

[He looks up as Sora sits up, watching him jump. He follows suit, landing easily beside him.] Lead the way.

Two jobs. Maybe. If I haven't gotten fired from the carnival.

[Sora waits as Riku lands beside him before starting the walk towards his apartment.] While you were gone I talked to your other boss, Raul. It was about inventing something and he said I should talk to someone in SERO.

What do you mean "if"?

[He glances at him, narrowing his eyes. What's Raul doing, asking about inventions?] What invention?

Boss-man isn't all that happy with us taking a lot of time off. But I guess it's okay since I told him I would be.

[Sora kind of supported the idea.] One that keeps Darkness out but allows the window to be open. We were talking about what we could do to make sure stuff like...those kids didn't happen again so I came up with a Darkness-proof screen idea or I dunno something technological that just covers an open space. Like a shield.

You should have gone back to work, Sora. I would have been fine.

...That's a pretty good idea. So how exactly are you going to let SERO hear about this idea? [Because he's not letting Sora anywhere near them.]

I'll make up for it when I get back. [Not going wasn't just for Riku, but for him too.]

I don't think it'll make much difference this year since it still has to be created and then given to the people but next year could be just as hot. A SERO suggestion box? Or, wait look - a friend in SERO who could say he went back and stalked some unlocked conversation! [Thinking on the spot? Never. He doesn't want to get near them either unless necessary.]

[Riku rolls his eyes.] Subtle, Sora. I can mention it and see what some people think. I know someone's working on something similar, just not for windows.

It was either suggest it to you or try to make it myself and see if my attempts would blow something up and if I ever got it right, get myself a business and manufacture it and sell it to the people. Or sell it to one of the companies...bleh, no. Do you think SERO would sell it for a lot so some people couldn't afford it?

You wouldn't be able to make it anyway. It would take too much money and neither of us have the skills to make a window or any of that in a way to make it work. I can talk to them about it and see what we can do. I don't know if they can sell it cheaply or not...that's up to them.
