I know weird powers seem to be the norm here, but I can't be the only one who's never heard of 'the Cathedral of Jonova.'

I know Christianity.

I don't know a Cathedral of Jonova. Who talked about it?

The news. Though I guess I should be wondering how much of what they print is real...

[she's totally chomping on gum]

I know about Christianity, Buddhism, Shinto, some about Muslims, and even about some of the pagan religions of Africa, not to mention one of my best friends is a very devout Catholic.

... But no. I haven't heard of that church. Just roll with it. And don't eat the fish.

I'm not going near the fish. Just like I'm not touching those rats.

It's got to have a decent following if it's, like, getting to volunteer in stuff. [pause.] What do you believe in, anyway?

I believe in all sorts of things. In Loki, and Odin. In Valkyries, and aliens. In alternate dimensions, and weirdorama timelines. In psychics and telekinetics. And, in Nightcrawlers and Wolverines.

[small pause.]

Except that getting volunteers was their main problem.

Eliminating a surplus of tainted food, and lowering the population of vagrants - doesn't sound like a bad plan.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Jesus and one God, Mary and Joseph and--

- You've really never heard of it?

temper_tempest February 8 2010, 03:35:20 UTC
No, I've never heard of any of that. It's a religion, correct?

Right. One that's, like, all over the world.

... What... religions do you have, instead?
