It's difficult to tell, in Brooke's case, since he doesn't exactly breathe or have a pulse to check. I am inclined to believe it is perhaps another attempt at a skull joke.

There's no reason to suspect he would be. He lived alone for 50 years on a lost ship in the Florian Triangle with no food. I suppose a few days won't affect him much.
