Eighth Heart ☆ Sora ☆ [Video]

Aug 03, 2010 12:46

[This time the video is focused in on a sheepdog puppy who's running around a park somewhere, still no Sora in sight though.]

Happy birthday to me.  Today may not be like the birthdays I used to have back on the islands with all my friends and mom's cake but it's definitely better than sleeping through it.  So I'm going to make today fun...who ( Read more... )

Happy Birthday, Sora- you're catching up.

You should, um...check out the zoo or something. You'd like that.

Thanks. I always do for a little bit at least.

The zoo, I'll definitely check it out.

When's your birthday?

That's kind of a dumb question, if you think about it.

C'mon, I know when Riku's birthday is but I wanna know what day you consider your birthday.

[Happy birthday. It's Sora's birthday? Does that mean it's his birthday, too? If he used to be Sora, then it must be, or it used to be. What's more important to count for birthdays-the life you have now or the one that used to exist? Maybe he's both sixteen and one at the same time. Huh. He's going to have to think about this.]

[...!!! Not someone he was expecting to hear from.]

Thanks.

[Well, that's all he really needed to say...or didn't need to, but felt like he should...so he won't bother-wait, it occurs to him he's not actually sure what birthday it is, he was just guessing.]

Sixteen now?

Happy birthday. The answer is...I didn't remember it. My past time here feels like a dream or a distant memory, and I remembered the city absolutely the moment I came back here, as though I'd just forgotten. It was...sometimes awkward, talking to people I'd spoken to years before but had up until then not remembered. There's things I'd done for the first time that were a big deal for me, like shopping in a supermarket in dollars, or eating pineapple, and I'd done those things twice, or found out that I had a memory of doing them when I'd only planned to in my own world.

Thanks.

So all those important memories that you had here were just something that you vaguely remembered. Like a sense of it being familiar but at the same time so far away.

Did talking to those people get easier?

That's right. After five years... It feels like it was that long for me, but for others it's fresh in their minds, and it's as hard for them as it is for me.

It's getting easier, I think.

How long were you gone from the city?

That's good.

Happy Birthday to you.

Not to throw a wrench in those plans, but wouldn't it be better to do something enjoyable that won't leave you feeling worse the following day?

Thanks, doc.

Probably but I wanna have as much fun as possible and if I end up feeling bad tomorrow then that's okay.

All the same, even when you plan to indulge yourself- remember moderation will thank you in the long run.

But I...what? Moderate my cake and ice cream intake? Because running around all day is pretty much what I do anyway.

Happy birthday, boy over the peeper creeper. Birthdays are important days. Important like everyday is Daddy's day. But Daddy's day doesn't have cake or ice cream. Are you going to have cake and ice cream?

[Little Cindy asks. If he has cake and ice cream, she might have to bother Mr. Atlas. Bothering = nagging until he caves.]

[Wow, she looks like a girl who'd live in Halloween Town. Still she gets an image of his puppy.]

Birthdays are important days. How come daddy's day doesn't have cake or ice cream? Yep, I'm going to have cake and ice cream today.

[oh boy! She sure did love puppies. Cindy giggles while watching the little ball of fluff prance around.]

Every day is Daddy's day, so if he had yummies and candy and all things nice and sweet, there wouldn't be anything left. Only- [she makes a face] veg-ta-bl's. Y~uck!

I guess that would be all that's left. And vegetables aren't all that good, especially the green ones.

So do you pick one of daddy's day to have cake, ice cream and other things nice and sweet?

[Hikaru is very excited by the girl's giggling and he licks the NV like he'll be licking her.]
