Anonymous Letter Causes Fishy Panic

This is an article that chronicles the reactions to a note that was sent anonymously to the press early this morning. Included in the article is the text of the note, as follows:

So many attention-getting murders! I killed a newcomer a few days ago, but it seems like nobody noticed. No news about a body in a shipment to the tuna cannery plant? What kind of paper is this?

...wonder where it ended up?

The reporter goes on to state that the note has caused widespread panic among the population of the City - or at least anyone who's had tuna in the past week. The article states that the cannery is shut down pending investigation, and all tuna products have been recalled from the store shelves to be examined for any sign of human flesh.

The ending statement says that Citygoers shouldn't be too worried, as it seems like a prank message, and that all of the panic in the cannery and police force is just a precautionary measure. Still, it goes on to mention the recent murders in the City and to state that a citizen "can't be too careful these days."

Monster Killer, or Big Threat?

This article reports on the strange absence of Darkness creatures and monsters in a two-block radius in Sector 4. It sates that the area seems to have been safe for quite some time now, even during the Darkness after sirens have gone off. There were no visible creatures in the area and no damage has been done to people going out at night or buildings in the vicinity due to monster attacks.

Several witnesses who tested the idea of the monsters being missing at night have reported that they've seen a figure in black destroying anything Darkness-related that comes into the area. While most would see this as entirely a good thing, several witnesses and the reporter himself stated concern that this may actually be a smarter or more powerful night creature that's taking out the easier to deal with creatures. The article suggests that, despite the lack of monsters, people still stay inside at night.

Unexpected Baseball Win Causes Commotion

The article comes with an attached video clip and photo of the Knight Flyers mascot in black armor with large wings flying around Grant Stadium's baseball field, with whight lights and fireworks going off in the background. The video includes a sound recording of hysterical screaming and cheering and the scoreboard in the background flashes an astonishing 3 to 14 in favour of the Knight Flyers. The article seems to support the Knights and takes on a very enthusiastic tone about the win.

The text of the article reads that SERO-owned and frequent charity sponsoring baseball team, the Knight Flyers, ended last year with a nine-game losing streak that continued throughout the year. It reports that last night's game proved that anything is possible.

The article goes on to report that in last night's game the Knight Flyers won by a landslide, likely due to the GrimSocks using poor strategy and the Knights being in impeccable form. In fact, the Knights' newest player, Chaz Eldrich, scored an astonishing seven home runs. The article mentions that a betting pool on the game has netted a great deal of money for the Siren's Port Childrens' Help Center, and is the first Knights-sponsored donation that's been able to be made in quite some time.

Some GrimSocks fans have moaned about the game being somehow rigged in order to let the Knights win, but officials have examined the footage taken of the game and have stated that there is no evidence to say there was any tampering done.

The reporter wishes the Knights the best, and hopes for another winning game in three weeks' time.
