I really want to move out of these apartments soon. It was creepy enough before the murder. Sometimes this place just feels so heavy, like a wet wool sweater. I'm not alone in finding it highly suspicious.

If we're not wanted here, why don't the natives help us go home?

There's a couple of small apartments I've seen that are pretty cheap. I could give you their addresses, Ritsuka.

I don't think they know how to get home, or they'd have left a long time ago.

We've been looking around, but we haven't found anyone willing to rent to us. We really want a two-bedroom so Soubi can have a studio.

You're probably right. But if that's the case, why are they so awful to us? It's not like we can help being here. I'd go home in a heartbeat if I could.

It's like making a little picture with numbers and letters when you text someone.

And those people are basically told to fit in here, into their way of life, get jobs, pay rent, or else be left to the elements and get devoured by monsters. And we're from all different places, not like we're some ready-made army.

They're probably disturbed by us. It doesn't matter to them whether it's our fault, we're still seen as the culprits. It's not reasonable, but it's what happens.
