Day 46; [voice]

May 05, 2010 10:41

I really wish people would stop asking me about the murder at the stadium. I didn't even see anything, that was Joe-but people should stop bothering him, too. He already told the police what he knows.

[A brief pause to finish huffing about, and the sound of putting something like a bag or backpack down.]The cat's been following some more, but it ( Read more... )

I'm not surprised it doesn't like peanut butter. Dogs do, I know, sometimes...but cats don't. You should just bring it milk and tuna. I bet it'd like that.

And that's a good idea, giving it to Sam.

[Locked]

It's odd...but no Heartless would do that, and no Nobodies. I haven't seen either of them in this world either. But it's weird for a person to take a heart shaped piece of skin off of someone...especially on the foot.

It should eat more than just milk and fish. People aren't supposed to eat just one thing all the time-why should cats?

[Locked]

Of course Nobodies wouldn't do that! I know them better than you do, anyway.

It could be a message, but...it doesn't say much.

Yeah, but something healthy that's going to help it. Popcorn's not healthy all the time.

[Locked]

I meant the lesser Nobodies. The Dusks. I've done my research, Roxas; I know a lot about Nobodies.

No, it doesn't. Why always the foot? If the police didn't thoroughly look over the body, they'd never find it and that'd be one clue lost. But still, why a heart?

I'm going to keep experimenting. I just know it eats popcorn because it's always spilled on the ground by the stadium.

[Locked]

I knew what you meant. You might have learned a lot, but they never worked for you. It doesn't matter; none of them-Dusks, Samurai, whatever-would act like that.

It was after the people died, so...it couldn't have anything to do with that. It has to be on purpose, though. Not even a crazy person would do that twice.

You'd think that with all the murders that happen around here, people would just get bored with knowing the details of every one. The pitcher was famous though, and it was weird. So you sort of can't blame them for being curious.

The cat's not abandoned if it isn't really yours to begin with. I bet there's plenty of dumpsters around where it can find other food.

[Locked]

I don't think it's a heartless thing either, or...well, I haven't been down to the places where the attacks happened, besides that guy who attacked me. If it was heartless, we'd be able to sense the darkness, right? You're good at knowing when it's heartless around, right Roxas?

Maybe it's...some kind of clue the police are missing. Is there something like a shoe store around this city with a heart in it's logo, or in it's name? A foot doctor? Or something to do with skin?

...why would you take a piece of skin from a dead person as your trophy? Skin probably doesn't even keep very well or anything.

It's kind of creepy that they want to know all that stuff, but they should at least ask the right people.

That's what I said, but this guy on the network said it picked me and if I didn't take care of it, I was abandoning it. I wouldn't do that.

[Locked]

I think so...they're attracted to the keyblade, so it's not hard. But it's not them, and it's not Nobodies.

Can you use the internet to look up that stuff? I've never seen any businesses like that, but it's a big city.

No idea. It's gross.

Well, do you trust the police and the news?

Hm. Well you could try opening a can of tuna and the end of shift and take it along with you, and maybe it would follow you home?

[Locked]

And it's not like their actual hearts got taken out, right?

I can go to the library and check.

It is pretty disgusting, if you think about it. I mean, the killings with big missing body parts...that's not as...to carve a heart shape and put a shoe back on, that's...really purposeful.

The newspaper seems to get things right. I don't know about the police.

That's a good idea. Maybe two cans.

[Locked]

I don't think so. No one's said anything if they were.

Yeah...to kill someone, you have to hurt them, but the hearts...they might be a message someone would send if they don't want everyone to know it is a message.

A kitchen cat? ...I don't know, I'm pretty sure that goes against some health codes. And I don't get along too well with cats.

It does?

...all right. I understand. It's not your responsibility anyway-I just don't want that guy to think I'd abandon something. I'll figure something out.

I don't know. Someone who was talking to me over the network last week. He said giving it food made me responsible for it.

It was probably abused. The cat, I mean.

We had a cat that my mom found that wouldn't let anyone pick it up for a good year, because her previous owners had apparently thrown her around.

But if it's following you, that's a good sign it's starting to trust you?

Why would someone abuse a cat? It's so small, it couldn't hurt anyone!

Maybe...or it just wants the food, I don't know.

People suck.

It's probably partly because of the food, but cats won't stick around someone unless they feel safe.

Yeah.

Well...I'm not going to let it starve.

Peanut butter isn't something a cat should eat. If you want to get it to trust you, keep feeding it tuna. Milk, too, if you manage to get a hold of some.

Why not?

I can get more tuna. Won't it get bored eating the same stuff, though?
