With the holidays finally over, it's time to get my energy levels back up.

Does anyone have some suggestions for all natural, herbal ways to restore energy? I'm open for suggestions.

[A pause, as he hears Iroh's voice in his head.]

Oh, and I've already built up a nice collection of tea.

[ooc; going to bed early guys, will pick up replies

Exorcise also helps, Blaine.

I've been doing that a lot more lately.

I've been training for self defense.

I don't know, really. I've been learning from Tim Drake, if you know him.

A regular multi-vitamin supplement should be the first step, and some commonly known herbal energy boosters are bee pollen, ginseng, kelp and licorice root.

[He smiles at the sound of Daedalus's voice]

Do you know a good brand I can use?

Seronex's OTC Store Brand would be more affordable than imports.

[Iroh strokes his chin thoughtfully about this. Tea was certainly helpful, but it seemed to him that something more was needed]

I'm glad you are enjoying your tea Blaine, I hope Kurt is as well. I might suggest a small vacation of sorts, perhaps a spa treatment. Few things are better then a nice hot bath followed by a massage.

That's actually a really good idea. It would be a lot of fun to take Kurt to something like that as a date.

Thanks.

You are welcome. Well it is important to work hard to achieve your goals, you need to enjoy life as much as possible along the way.

There's probably a leaf for that.

I was actually thinking about that. Did any of the stuff we got last time work well for you?

Kinda. But maybe it only helped because I thought that it would. Something like that.

Like a placebo.

I wasn't sure either. It was so tired back then that it was kind of a hopeless case.

Herbs? Caffeine and ginseng, but be careful not to overuse them.

Other things ... A B-complex vitamin once a day when your period of lowest energy starts -- if you were on a normal schedule and got tiredest in the afternoon, you'd be best off taking it at noon.

Enough sleep; a balanced diet, especially enough protein and complex carbohydrates; regular exercise; heavy exercise an hour or two before sleep; consider an occasional nap but be careful, naps gone wrong can leave you more tired than you were before you lay down.

How are you doing?

Thanks, that's a lot of great information Emma.

I've been okay. Tired, but Christmas and New Years were a lot of fun, even if things got a little crazy right before it.

I hope it helps.

I'm glad you had fun -- it's important, especially around here.
