Caster closed the door behind Claire as she entered. ]
Make yourself comfortable. [ She crossed over to the table, lightly gesturing to it with one hand. ] Feel free to take a seat. I'll pour each of us a cup of tea.
[ Caster answered as she strode over to the kitchen. ]
Green tea. [ Slender fingers daintily worked on lifting the kettle, pouring the beverage into two white, porcelain tea cups. ] I hope that's fine with you.
[ She returned to the table, setting her cup down in front of her. ] Careful. It's hot.
Yeah, that's fine. [ She'd had it before, back home. She holds it up to her mouth, then hesitates. Caster knew about her ability from the other night, and that she couldn't feel anything. She took a sip before setting the cup down. ]
[ Catching her hesitation, Caster had wondered whether it was, perhaps, the wrong choice of words. She had treated Claire like a regular person because she thought that the girl would feel uncomfortable with special treatment. Many times, people preferred the sugarcoated facets of illusion to reality. Maybe she had pegged the little lady wrongly. ]
That evening. [ Caster spoke softly as she moved to take the seat opposite of Claire. Her tea cup clinked softly as she set it down in front of herself. ] That is, if you're comfortable with it.
Now, this may not be any of my business, but in my experience, the longer you keep it inside, the more it will gnaw at you. [ She pressed a gloved hand on her chest, over where her heart beat beneath her chest. ] Right here.
[ Then, gently: ] But you can only hold onto it for so long.
[ oh hi you... ]
I don't think I can get into the holiday spirit here. Not like I did back home, anyway.

[ Her voice warms, before she ends her NV's transmission. ]

It doesn't take long for Caster to open the door, her hood lowered. ]
Oh, hello, Miss Bennet. [ She shifts to the side. ] Please, come in.

Claire manages a small smile, stepping inside. ] Hi, Caster. Thanks.

Claire took a seat at the table. ] What kind of tea is it?
[ Not that Claire really ... knew a lot of types, but it was nice small talk. For now. ]

I think I'll be fine with it. I have a while to deal with it. [ What with her never being able to die. ]

And time does heal all wounds, like they say, right?
