[Undecided if he liked that sobriquet of his name, he complied as he eased himself into a cigar, knowing well he wasn't one to speak plainly, most especially in his own memorandum.]

I presume not of any solid reason for our coming und going to this port. But, it is my hope that I might take fractions of the knowledge I glean here with me when I return home.
