[Someone is very, very upset today and for once is not going to any lengths to hide it.]

I'm assuming most of you read the news regarding the--the unfortunate incident for which the Felton production The Answer is being blamed. It's not quite my place to issue any formal statements on the matter, and most of the cast is being told to keep quiet, ( Read more... )

[Resignation or no, he doesn't care.]

It's not your fault, first of all. Secondly, the producer and director was given warnings about this before. His grandfather won't let him work any longer.

Don't blame the organization or the people who have worked there to try and make it a home for others.

I don't blame them, Riku, or you. I just don't feel comfortable working there anymore.

It's understandable. I can't say it doesn't leave a sour taste in my mouth too.

Do you really think the play was responsible for what they did?

I can't be sure. I don't know what those kids were thinking.

...Will you be okay?

I'm...not sure, honestly. I just quit the job that was my best bet at achieving anything in show business around here. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

What the fuck happened and why are you crying like a girl?

[Read: Only Santana is allowed to make these idiots cry, who needs to die a painful death.]

It's in the news.

[Ugh, fine. Be that way. She'll cut the feed for a moment or two so she can look for herself, and when she turns it back on, Santana looks unusually... sombered.

-- but she still has that attitude.]

What part of that makes you think that's your fault?

I was in that play. I was a part of it.

[A short pause.]

Have you ever watched any It Gets Better videos, Santana?

I saw it, and though it wasn't the best play I've seen, it didn't make me want to kill myself.

[More then usual anyway, he shrugs]

Doorknobs don't kill people, fairyboy, people kill people. Unless there was some kind of mind control going on, it was their own choice.

[You know, this is probably the most constructive advice he's heard.]

But the play influenced that choice, didn't it?

Course it did, twinkles.

[He leans back in his chair]

But do you honestly think the play had more influence then oh I don't know... the parents, friends, and what they were taught?

[He flips a knife into the air and catches it]

Ultimately, if a play is going to make you kill yourself, there is already a J-LO sized buttload of issues already present.

The fact that it contributed at all, though...even just a little... I can't be part of that anymore. At least not until those responsible hold themselves accountable.

I'm not so sure I believe that, but thank you.
