the 7th verse - voice

[In the background, there seems to be sounds from the TV... or more specifically, from a movie. It sounds French (probably with subtitles) and somehow romantic for those who understand the language. Yep. That's Genesis Rhapsodos, discreetly watching a romcom in a different language.]

Mm... The Answer sounds like something interesting to watch. I ( Read more... )

The Felton's selection for productions are certainly- well... interesting, to say the least.

[Which is to say that The Chairs was sort of an absurdist atrocity, when he and Franz saw it last winter.

But it had been an unforgettable night out.]

I believe one of the newcomers up on Security detail at Lion's Gate also manages at The Felton. And Kurt Hummel's in the company- which has been sort of shuffled around last minute, if the news is true, so, ah...

So Franz and I will probably be going to see it, at some point.

[He chuckles at the way the doctor describes them.]

Hm? That's interesting. I think I've heard of this Kurt around, but I've never really gotten to know him. Is he an actor?

[Then a sly grin blooms upon his features as he hears that detail about him and Franz.]

Ah-- I would say I'd want to go see it, too, but wouldn't like to get in the way of your time together.

[There's something about those bright blue mako eyes that belie very scandalous thoughts.]

He's...a performer, yes. I've heard him before, he is very talented.

[And that said, Daedalus is still a little concerned for Kurt's singing, his emerging abilities, and how his passion and purpose might affect his long term health and relationships. That worry shows just slightly in the faint furrow on his brow.]

It isn't as though it's a private theatre! [He laughs, blinking- he's unsure for the protocol of anyone inviting themselves along on outings. Aside from one 'group-together', he's always left most of those social arrangements to Franz.

But what makes him feel most uneasy is that gleam in his eyes. As if he's assuming his way into their intimate lives- which makes Daedalus sit up just a bit unconsciously straighter.]

There are plenty of seats. We haven't even decided when we're going yet.

[While he does notice the look of worry while he was talking about Kurt, he bursts out laughing at Daedalus' reaction to the way he was looking at him. It's almost like Sephiroth when caught off-guard... although far more casual. The General was still the straight-laced military man he's always known him to be. Genesis grins at Daedalus now. You know, he did see that clip of Franz in bed, post-coitus with Daedalus during that season with the cherry blossoms.]

Well then, are you both welcome for company? Or did you both prefer to watch it alone?

[Gen are you eating the popcorn without him!?!]

You really want to go see that? [Coming back from the kitchen with more snacks. Yeah, it's one of those days instead of real dinner.]

[You're too slow to the movie! That's why! MUNCHMUNCHMUNCH]

Well, why not? It's been a long while since I've watched something in a proper theater.

[Rude!]

I don't think the reviews on it were on the positive side. [He'll sit down next to him with delicious pizza bites he had thrown together for their casual on the couch dinner. Because not only does he like cooking, he still makes less than the other two in their jobs, so it only seems fair.]

Although, it would not of been the first time you've sat though a bad rendition of something.

[Stealing some popcorn :v]

[He'll steal a pizza bite in retaliation! AHH. So good.]

Well, if it does turn out to be a bad show, it'll certainly make for good humor... if you do manage to stay up through it. [He raises an eyebrow at him.]

You're in the theater business? [Have a pair of bright blue eyes looking at him with interest.] How do you find the culture here in the Port?

Well, most cities have a more colorful theater culture than that of the town I grew up in, so I'm not the best judge. Let's just say it's substantial, but not Broadway.

That is surprising. Were you in the lead?

I've heard of it, but I never had the time to visit.

[Read: too busy being an insane degradating person.]

[She can pick up a lot of what is playing in the background. It makes her smile. When she replies she chuckled softly]

Theater culture in this would can be very colorful, or at least if it is anything like the Earth I knew.

I don't have much insider information, but I know of a few of the smaller theaters around that have some interesting shows, and the Felton puts on larger productions.

What kind of things are you interested in?

Hm... anything I can get my hands on, honestly. The more I can watch, the better. Movies have been growing on me as of late, though. They make a good hobby when I don't feel much like going out.

Movies? Do you have a DVD player then? I've been collecting some local movies lately. Did you know that the city actually produces some pretty good movies? I'm starting to get a pretty good collection myself. [So.... she's starting to like the local entertainment, what can she say?]

Yes, I bought one a week or so ago on the insistence of a workmate. He wanted me to watch this movie starring "an awesome hunk", in his words. He wasn't to my taste, though. [He snerks]

But I enjoyed the story.
