[As the feed begins, it's apparent that the owner of this NV is well-prepared for the transmission: she's indoors, in-focus, the lighting is... decent, not quite ideal. ... That isn't to say that she looks particularly comfortable with what she's doing. Though there has been some thought and improvisation in the setup, Aqua herself is looking a ( Read more... )

[ S'up, Aqua. Recognize the voice? Because he sure recognizes you. ]

Experienced mage, you say?

[. . . Carefully witching over to audio herself. He probably gets a niiiice preview of her calm demeanor taking a slightly sour turn. As a matter of fact, the recognition is almost instantaneous.]

I can't believe it...

[Oh, boy. Does she ever sound happy to hear from...]

You.

[ He does so love his adoring public. ]

What's the matter there, miss Keyblade Master?

You sound like you've seen ghost.

Nothing is the matter.

[More like she's heard a monster. Something with troll-like features, perhaps.]

Nothing I can't handle.

[Oh hey, there she is. Roxas hesitates before typing out a reply. He'd said it was best to give her some time to adjust, but they've got to meet sooner or later, right? And she'd dealt with things pretty well before.]

You taught me a little when you were here before.

[Adaptability. It's kind of her thing. Give her a second to respond still getting the hang of they keyboard here.]

Oh... That's wonderful! I'm lucky that you have found me. I don't remember anything about being in Siren's Port. Perhaps we can teach each other?

[The message has already been sent, but ... come to think of it, the text does seem to be missing something. What was that little electronic mannerism to express happiness she'd seen while browsing through the NV ... ?

Ah!]

[Heh.]

Maybe. I don't know if I'd have anything to teach a Master, though. I use the Keyblade, too. Like Terra and Ven.

[Well, no one wields it quite like Ven.]

[Figures, yet again. Two of the best friends were here, then their master had arrived, and now their little quartet is complete.

She should be pleased. Happy that the little group got out of their predicaments and fates, at least in the meantime. But things will still get complicated and crazy as usually. They always do.

What to say now, though, what to say. Terra's been easy enough to talk to these days, but they were both different people with different ideals. And should she even really bother talking with them anyways?

Decisions. Decisions.]

I don't think... I could help you to look for a job. But, um... out of curiousity, what can an mage do?

[Stupid question given she knows about their universe's magic, but she wants to get some sort of information about Aqua.]

[Headtilt.

'Mages do magic!' somehow seems an underwhelming response to what she perceives to be a very serious question.]

... Mages can do just about anything. Versatility is the gift that magic gives to those of us who know how to use it.

[A gift. A gift.

She almost wants to shake her head. Magic for them was a gift and a powerful fighting tool, but Naminé's own brand was just like a twisted curse and nothing more.]

Versatility... You really think it might help you get a job? You can so anything?

Just about everything.

[Wouldn't it be wonderful if it were that easy?]

I hope it will help... but there's no guarantee, I suppose.

[Here is a very smiley face that you won't remember but she sure as heck remembers you~]

I remember you! I'm Xion, I know you don't remember me and we haven't met before coming here, but I'm a friend, I promise! Ven told me you were back, I'm so happy to see you.

[This ... is weird. For a moment, she could have sworn that she had been looking at a certain auburn-haired child on the NV's screen.

But...]

[The moment she takes a closer look, the girl has shifted to something different entirely.

... ... ... ... Aqua knows it's rude to stare. She knows that.
And, anyway, this one knows Ven. That calls for a small, hopeful smile, right? Pushing the misgiving aside -- a technological error, she decides -- she does her best to cover up her dismay.]

One of Ven's friends? I guess... that means that I'm happy to see you, too.

[It's not the first time Xion's seen someone looking at her like that, she's used to it. Aqua probably sees Ven, just like Terra did. She decides that it's time to put such a misunderstanding to bed as quickly as possible.]

I know it's strange to arrive here and have people know who you are when you don't know them, but don't worry. You had a lot of friends here, and we're all really happy you're back.

[Heeyyy- wait a minute. He knows that voice! Same soft features, same straight posture. Sora flashes her his best grin.] Aqua!

We knew you'd be back. [It'll be good having Aqua around again. He's willing to bet it's been more than a little quiet at the home. Good for Ven and Terra. But he suffers a slight pause at the latter part. That's a lot of time and memories lost.]

So... then you don't remember anything from when you were before? Anything at all?

[She raises her eyebrows at the sudden bleat of her name on the NV... feeling sort of obligated to reach over and pick it up. The image on the screen attached to that voice... it draws a small frown to her features.

Where has she seen this face before?]

I... ... No, I'm afraid I don't remember very much at all.

[She won't ask directly -- not yet, not when she's so close to placing the familiarity of this face...]

[It certainly isn't anything new in Siren's Port, or to Sora. People forget things all the time.] Oh... well, guess I'd better introduce myself. I'm Sora. [But memories are important. And no matter how many times it happens, it still makes him a little sad.]

We were friends from before- when you were here the first time? We trained together. Not a lot, but I've been keeping up with the exercises you taught us.

[And the prospect of learning puts a spark of excitement back into his tone.] I've also got some new stuff I wanna show you ... If that's okay.

[... ... Give her a second, here. She's really hoping her surprise and confusion aren't too plain on her face.

It doesn't help her dismay that she's finally placed where she's seen him before --

' ... And this one's the spitting image of Ven! ... '

How could she have forgotten?]

Sora.

[Brushing a lock of her bangs out of her eyes, there's sort of a sad smile that creeps across her features. And if she has trained him in the past, then that must mean ...]

I'd like that. ... To see what you've learned, I mean.

[Talk about surreal.]
