It's not a bad idea, really, no matter where you're from. Though I know Canada celebrates it on a different day... In January, or something?

You actually make it sound nice. This is my first time in Canada, and I have to say it's not exactly what I'd imagined.

It's, uh...

It's sort of like a giant feast where you get together with the people you care about, stuff your faces, and think about how grateful you are for the things in your life that don't suck.

Get it? Thanks giving?

No, I really don't think that I do. Unless you can give me some reason more specific.

Then you don't know what you're missing. You should try McDonald's sometime. It's like a party in your mouth and a funeral in your liver.

[Oh.

McDonald's.

Draco's seen one around - it's rather difficult to miss, after all, and he's gone so far as looking at one, judging one, and deciding it's somewhere that he is never going to eat.]

Those places look as if you'll get a disease just from going near one.

[Also, poor people.]

Y'know, I was wonderin' about that myself. It's never a big thing for me, so... [ Squints, mentally calculating monthly food budget; ] What d'you and your mom do at home for Thanksgiving?

It wasn't huge for us either. since it was just the two of us. Premade turkey, mashed potatoes, canned cranberries, and long, sappy, drunken stories about how grateful we all are.

... I like the sound of that! Just havin' a cosy night in. Though if you stay in the wider public won't get to try your potato heart-attack...
