Considering our network is once again flushed with and angry and panicked voices, I thought I would bring to attention a certain matter.

Not to the point of where the color of every leaf on a tree is described, no. But would it not be fair to place a note, "This is a video of a tree in Sector 4, swaying gently" or something to that effect?

It's sort of hard to stop right in the middle of things and write messages out. That's why I don't even bother with typing most of the time anyway.

There's no point in telling almost everyone what they just saw already.

And in those cases I suppose there's very little lost.

But there are situations where it would be helpful to extend that courtesy. Many times I will hear all sorts of comments and reactions without truly being clear on what just happened.

[Even though he does not say "Well, obviously..." there is a very clear implication of it in his voice. But Snake is patient, if not always enthusiastic.] That is what I have been doing, with the few posts that I can discern might hold content relevant or interesting to me. I do not always know if a transmission is in video, since my NV design does not include a video playback function.

If others included a brief summary (when necessary) of their video posts, in the end they would save time. If the conclusion to my requesting is for the poster concerned to eventually add that note, is it not logical for them merely to include it in the first place? [With a slightly hard edge.] That is, unless video posts are specifically intended to be understood only by the sighted. It was my understanding that this world is a modern one that looks favorably on the idea of inclusiveness

It's one of those things that people usually don't think of on their own, unfortunately. Especially if something so magnificent that it takes up most of their focus.

...I regret to admit I had not considered the option that individuals may not be very skilled when it comes to reading and writing. While I myself am not able to help - unless you would like to learn braille - I believe there are many in Siren's Port who would be more than happy to tutor you.

The next time you see a sign for an elevator or something like that, place your hand on the raised text. Beneath it, you'll feel a line of raised dots. Each of those sets of dots indicates a letter.

Braille is written language for the blind. I read by touch.
