[ Chane is nearly panicked. It's not altogether obvious in her less-than-shaky hold of the NV, nor her complexion which, although her skin tone is already rather pale, seems whiter than before. There is a vaguely pained expression being worn, tinted with some kind of annoyance. Some might recognise this as her bothered, worried look, a giveaway

Tonegawa stares, momentarily dumbfounded- and then he tries to formulate a sentence.]
Tell me that was a trick of the light, Laforet-kun.

No. Completely natural.

He's pinching the bridge of his nose by the time she's written her message, sighing.] ... no reflection. That's fine. That shouldn't pose too much of a problem for you for now. [assuming that's all there is to it, of course]

A few similar mishaps had kept Claire mostly diverted from the network for the night, but by now he was up to grips enough with the technology to have an NV alert for posts from particular sources. Luckily the penguin incident meant that a couple of extra millimeters of teeth and a lack of a reflection weren't completely shocking to him. ]
Uh. I still love you even if you're a vampire.

When she does register his words, she lifts her eyebrows- strangely expressive for her, yet the motion does not feel unusual- and tilts her head back in something akin to mocking disbelief, mouth quirked to bare that fang again.
Really.
The thought ends as abruptly as the video feed; shortly after she'll be winding her way noiselessly through the busy crowds of Lion's Gate, slipping through almost unnoticeably even with the trailing sleeves of the gown and the wide collar. She does not stop until her heels clack to a halt directly by Claire, by the exact shadow of the wallpaper and furnishing she had noticed earlier. No need for a greeting. ]

The sound of heels, surprises him: it's rather difficult to get that close to him without him noticing, but seeing it's her he grins in welcome. There's a note of - not wariness, but definitely assessment in it, and (remembering the disdain that met his last comment) he takes a moment to look her over before speaking, finding no sign of that trepidation left - in fact, not even any trace of the dress dress dress look up usual caution that she carries with her in unfamiliar situations. He grins a little wider, and though he looks pointedly to where the fangs lie beneath her lips it's not clear if he means the outfit or the vampirism. ] I gotta say, it's a good look on you.

It's a tentative consideration, at the very least, up until he looks at her like that. The intrigue beneath his care in approaching her. That stands as a sliver of proof, nothing so vivid as hope but the knowledge that he can be swayed somehow-- it's just about enough to cancel out the all-too-obvious acknowledgement of her appearance. Where at that compliment she might blush and turn away as herself, now, she untucks her hair from behind the collar, sliding her tongue over her lip in a way that drags attention to where it stops at her teeth. The movements just barely contain a question: which? ]
