[Pumpkin carving, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun! But Sora doesn't answer at first, just quirks his head at the camera like he's puzzled by something.]

[ Heyyyy, here's someone she hasn't in a while. ]

Hey, Sora. What is it?

[Sora isn't the most perceptive person, but when it's something he's seen more than a few times, he's more inclined to pick it out: that look Yako's got... it's kind of like when Riku or Donald or Goofy push themselves a little too hard. It's not as prominent on Yako, and it's not like she's just fought through a crowd of enemies but... she looks a little worn out somehow.]

You okay over there?

[ Yako certainly wasn't expecting that question from Sora, of all people, so she's taken aback for a moment-- she can't quite keep the surprise off her face.

Still, after half a heartbeat, it melts into something a little more relaxed. ]

Things have been a little rough lately, but I'm not going to let it get me down. [ Honesty is probably the best policy, and she doesn't want to brush off his concern. ] Don't worry about it.

[No-- Yako doesn't seem like the type to get dragged down easy. His worry persists anyway, and as per usual, Sora wears his heart on his sleeve. Yako can see it clear as day on his face.]

I know you've got all this stuff to do for the NPP and all these parties and stuff but... Don't forget to take it easy every now and then, okay?

I won't. [ A small grin. ] I wouldn't want to miss out on spending time with my friends, you know?

Good. 'Cause you've gotta be in tip top shape when I show up at the Community center for the pumpkin carving.

I didn't know there was a Pumpkin King. What's he like?

Well, he's not really a king of pumpkins. He's more like... the king of Halloween!

He's tall. And reeeeally skinny. He's kinda like the big guy in charge of Halloween Town, even if he's not the mayor. The whole town's full of goblins and witches and a bunch of other spooks. There, it's Halloween every day. They carve pumpkins and put up spooky decorations all year 'round.

It's pretty neat.

[ Normally she'd be inclined to dismiss all that as a bunch of hokum, but she suspects much weirder things have happened. Besides, Sora doesn't seem like the kind of kid who'd lie about this stuff. ]
