[ It's very early in the morning, the sun has barely broken the horizon. Amy is leaning back, head against the wall and hand cradling and rubbing around her neck. Her breathing is shallow as she tries to regain her voice to speak. It's still a bit raspy for her normal vociferous Scottish. ]

… I'm starting to think these aren't just dreams.

[ and assuming the Doctor is nearby, somewhere or other. but for now, she pockets her phone and turns toward the TARDIS. she's almost afraid to look back. ]

Yeah, but this time's different. It's really real. How's that even possible? They're just dreams.

You should know dreams aren't always fantasy. Sometimes they can be very real, and very frightening.

[she walks over toward Amy, a little concerned and a little frightened and a little bit curious, as well. she can't help it; it's a mystery!]

Did it hurt you?

I know that, but dreams are supposed to stay dreams. There's a difference between dreams and reality, and this is definitely reality.

[ At least before she could blame the Dream Lord. But then, Amy sighs, removing her hand and revealing a few red scratches on her neck. ]

A bit, but I'm fine.

I agree with you. There is much more to all of this than what it appears to be.

I am going to that lighthouse tonight to see if I can find out something. Perhaps this is the entire purpose of the dreams altogether, to try to draw us in. Even so, I wish to inspect. You can join me if you wish, or I can transmit the video to you, so I have a second pair of eyes at the very least.

What? The actual lighthouse?

[ The thought seems absolutely terrifying and intriguing at the same time. Amy wants answers, especially if they can stop whatever this is. She isn't one to sit back and take things anyway. ]

No, I want to see. When are you going?

Tonight, after the sirens. I assume that if there is anything to be seen, it will be then. I can meet you somewhere and escort you there at your convenience.

'Course. [ She sounds reluctant to agree, but it is true... ] I'll be by the baseball field tonight, if you want to meet there.

But, hang on. I thought it's almost impossible to get there. And even worse, inside.

[Sherlock has been lucky enough to avoid most of the dreams. It was an advantage to nearly never sleeping. Still, no one he'd heard from so far noted any physical effects.]

It manifested as you dreamed it?

[ No, she's fine. Thanks for asking, Sherlock. But in seriousness, she's glad to hear from someone who usually has the answers. ]

I guess. I was asleep and when I woke up, it was just there. This is twice now.

[Psh, that was assumed. Or he didn't think of even asking. Probably both.]

Your roommates can verify this, I assume.

Just what? [ Sorry, she can't hear him with food in his mouth. Except she can. She's just having a hard time at the moment, you know, with monsters and all. ]

Yeah, got that. It's what the 'something else' that I don't.

[ Pretty much oblivious to her unease, illustrating his theory with waves of the breadstick. ] Someone saw that fella about town and it ended up in their dream - and it just so happened to get into your room afterwards? [ maybe check your front door is shut, lady! ]

[ She'd pluck that breadstick out of his hand, if she could. ] Hang on. What does that mean? Are you saying I let it inside? I didn't just forget to close a window.

What is that thing? [It's from the dream, yes, but that's not the point.] Are you okay?

Not sure, to be honest. I've seen it before, but never here. [ sighs. ] I'm fine now, thanks. Although, I'm not sure if I'll be going back to sleep anytime soon.

You're in good company there.

Have things from your dreams ever come to life before?
