[He switches to video. He's in the Batcave and the wall behind him is red. It's been superheated. The glow silhouettes him, but the red of his eyes is sharp none the less.]
I've spent nine years doing this. I've seen the best and worst of myself, seen the best and worst of humanity. I watched my planet die--I heard the dying screams of my own people. I sacrificed myself for others fully expecting not to survive. I've felt pain, physical and emotional, to the same extremes as you have, died just like you have. I've been tortured and beaten. I've been left for dead.
And no matter your posturing, I know that you're not this person you pretend to be, Jason. I know that the person you're lying to most is yourself.
Think what you like, be what you like, but don't expect me to stop caring. I have perspective on evil, Jason, and trust me, you're not even a blip on the scale. So sit down.
[Jason's not about to admit that yeah, that's impressive. And not just the superheated wall of the Batcave. It's the rap sheet that really gets Jason's attention and nails it down for more than a few seconds. Still, he doesn't like being told what to do, even if Clark's not really telling him what to do. Clark's giving his acceptance of Jason for who he is, despite what he's done--- what both of them have done--- and saying that he still cares.
Weird.
There's a good five minutes before Jason replies.]
Are you expecting me to give you a standing ovation or something?
There's one thing you do really well, Jason. One thing that never fails to impress me about you. I saw it the first time I met you, and it's been there ever since. I see it in so few people, and yet you can't seem to appreciate just how special it makes you.
You ever want to know what it is, you know where to find me.

I'm going to leave you alone, but if you change your mind about needing someone, it's always been just me and you.

Since I'm such a swell guy and we'll never talk again, if there's one last piece you want to say, this is your chance.
