[Normally sleep wasn't hard for Namine. But since the arrival of a couple of... unwanted figures from her past, the stress and nervousness wasn't doing well for her at night. And when she actually could fall asleep, they just ended up being nightmares.

It's late, and she doesn't want to disturb any of her roommates with questions or talking out loud

i guess there's that option.

i just can't get to sleep tonight. that's all.

Don't go giving up yet. There's lots of stuff you can try.

[She has to admit, talking to a friend would help. But if she mentions that at all to Sora, he'd offer and who knows what that would lead to.]

like what?

Ever tried warm milk? When I was little, Mom used to make some for me whenever I couldn't sleep.

[linkings]

no. [Never had a mom to make it for her.] did it work?

[lockandkeyblade]

Yup! Only takes about a minute on the stove, and sometimes she'd add chocolate.

But when that didn't work, she'd read me a story. Or make one up, even.

[Sora, you're kind of making her heartache, wishing that she had a mom for all that stuff.]

that sounds good, with chocolate.

i don't know any kind of stories. what were they about?

[lockandkeyblade]

[Sora nods. He misses her.] It was my favorite.

All sorts of stories. But the ones I liked best were the ones with heroes fighting dragons, saving princesses. That kind of stuff. [Pretty much all the things he and Kairi and Riku used to play out on the islands.]

[He smiles fondly at the memory.] So she'd read it to me, until I was really tired. And she wouldn't stop, even after I fell asleep. That way, I'd dream about it. Instead of having more nightmares.

[Heroes and princesses and castles and... She has to stop thinking about it. It's reminding her too much of their history together, although there was no dragon and she was far, far from a princess. Just the shadow of one.

She takes a while to reply back, taking her time.]

that was sweet of your mother to give you happy dreams like that.]

How about we give it a shot?

[She needs a moment. Not to think, but just cause, well, it's Sora and when he does things like this, it's a little bittersweet.]

i don't want to trouble you so late at night.

C'mon Namine, it'll be fun. I can walk you through how to make hot chocolate our way-- step by step. Then when you're all comfy in bed and ready, we'll try it out. Whaddo you say?

[Hot chocolate does actually sound pretty good to her right now.]

Okay- step one: Make sure you've got the ingredients.

[He lowers his voice and his face, closer to the NV, as if he'd afraid she'll get caught.]

Think you can sneak out into the kitchen without waking anybody up?

[It's not super hard for her, since the light of her NV is enough to sidestep around anything big in their room. She slips into the kitchen quietly and opts for the audio feed instead.]
