Some things're hard to trust people on. Like if there's a part of their lives they don't want others to see, or it's a stretch to believe that they'll handle a situation alone... [ Then he seems to become aware of some imaginary line he's toeing, and sits up a little more, waving a hand apologetically ] Er, I don't know how bad things got between you and this other person so you don't have to answer, but...! If you trusted them in the first place, that's gotta count for somethin', right?
