[Even the glasses can't hide the sadness behind them. Clark is quiet when the video feed comes on, and his eyes only briefly flicker toward the video. He twists his hands together in front of him, anxiously.]

I don't know if it's just me, but--

[The hands unknot and then Clark raises one to the back of his head, rubbing at his neck.How do you go

But honestly, what kind of advice are you looking for with such a general hypothesis?

Doormat, right? Don't worry, I get that all the time. But I just... People deserve to have a second chance. Hasn't anyone ever shown that kind of faith in you?

Second chances are for people who make mistakes -- what need do I have to care about other people's faith in me if I have faith in myself?

And I was thinking more along the lines of 'fool', myself.
