[The video flickers, static running over the screen once or twice. In the background you hear a exasperated growl and suddenly a loud clunk. The screen goes dead again, but a few seconds later it starts up once more, this time the picture is a little clearer although lines continue to run over the image making it look somewhat...well. [She recognises the voice, he sounds just like his mother in tone and it makes her heckles rise. Selina rolls her eyes before responding back, trying to remember he's a child, holidng the device close to her mouth.]

If you've talked to the medical staff, I won't repeat what I'm sure you've already heard about being out after dark.

There are lots of nightclubs, but if you're serious as well as joking about that drink, I'd go to the Underground Mall -- there are clubs there, there are shops there, there's enough there to give you something to do all night, and you can go back to the Tower Apartments in the morning.

Mmm, let me look, here's a rough map on the network.

And yes, everyone arrives in the dirt. At least my clothes were already shreds before I left.

I'll be heading down below soon. I just thought I'd check out the sights before these monsters I've been warned about come out.

I don't know that I'd say lucky, since the reason my clothes were shredded was not anything I'd repeat, but it's not as if the Core Pulled me from a time or place I'm eager to go back to, or ruined my clothes, or did anything to me personally I object to other than not letting me depart. [A wry look.] Though that's not nothing.

Yes, the map's clinical. The mall isn't. It's bustling. I understand it's especially busy at night with so much of the rest of the city shut down, but I actually haven't been there, or much of anywhere, after Sirens.

I admit I'm glad you're not planning on braving the monsters your first night. I'm just starting to consider it myself, and it's been about six weeks.

They're as dangerous as the staff at the field say then? I have to admit, the stories they told sounded a little dramatic. I don't think one day here gives me a valid opinion on much though.

I think I'll give the mall a once over. I can't see myself sleeping tonight.
