It's been awhile since I made a network post, hasn't it? [He laughs softly, holding his head in his hand.] And there's a new batch of people coming in already. Looks like the Core is, once again, back in business ( Read more... )

[Jubilee is bent over backwards off the end of her bed. She's chewing gum and her hair is in foil and saran wrap.]

I thought we could go get dinner. Together. Well, of course together, but I mean. Um. Dinner?

[A grin around the gum. She rolls over, the NV in her hand.]

I think I can be enticed to join you for dinner.

[Oh... he... kind of looks like Doctor. If Doctor had straighter hair and took off his glasses.]

'What did the god do?' asks Wordsworth. [He sounds more than slightly worried.]

What do you think the god did?

'The only answer that Snake can come up with is quite sad and unfortunate,' says Keats.

The god destroyed everything, including himself, and it was peaceful again.

To each his own idée fixes, Tenma, but one might wonder why you are so infatuated with troubling allegory of devils, and why you like the name Johan for your monsters.

We'll have to find a new diner, they might be getting sick of me. We should support newcomer businesses, too- So how do you feel about Cat's Eye Bistro?

Unfortunately, I didn't come up with the stories. I just type them out onto the NV. When you say destroyed everything, do you really mean everything, or just the things he created?

You know, I don't think I've been there yet, so I'm all for it. Supporting Newcomer businesses is always a good thing, right?

Who came up with the stories, then, and why do you retell them?

I mean destroying everything, including himself. Would it be easier to shatter the mirror? Perhaps, but only for a time.

It's probably lighter fare, as well.

It's hard to explain. But the stories were by a man who went under different pseudonyms, and wrote several of them.

He'd still have to live with the knowledge that he was a monster, if he just broke the mirror.

No more fattening hash browns?

Every two weeks might be better.

So many? We might get sick of each other. [Laughs.]

Doubtful. It was a habit we had at the hospital I studied at though, so I'm used to it.

To go eat with each other every two weeks? That's a nice habit.

Anyone foolish enough to wander around at night deserves whatever they get.

But what about all the new people who haven't experienced it yet?

If they've been warned there are monsters, you don't think it's foolish to go out? New or not.

I don't think it's foolish. People are naturally curious about that sort of thing.
