[Voice recording, early evening before sirens]

I don’t know if it’s just the news that was reported today that has me on edge or what it might be, but that guy made me feel very… n-not okay just now.

[A smaller sound in her voice as she speaks to the device.]I don’t know if he’s someone new, and if you are and you see this, I apologize! If… not ( Read more... )

You are bringing this sighting to the attention of the Network because you suspect this person to be in connection to the recent murders reported, correct?

What did this person do to unsettle you?

Are these books readily available to others besides the landlord and a greeter like yourself? What sort of information is contained in these books--is it names and corresponding room numbers alone?

There are numerous possibilities. That is one, of course. If this person were connected with the murders but has not harmed someone at this time, it is possible that they were scouting out potential targets, or committing more of these acts of vandalism that were mentioned. How long ago did this encounter occur?

I ah... I don't know. I mean, all I see are the names of people, dates and room numbers. Who's paying and who's to be evicted soon. It's just a log book, like when you first show up and sign in? That's all really.

[Oh this sounds so horrible! But he has a point, huh...] Oh I hope everyone is alright. After my encounter with him I came right to my apartment and spoke up. So... not too long ago? I... I thought it might be best to say something fast, in case someone... well just in case.

Room numbers. I see. And it is the landlord who has this book, correct? I assume for ease of access and convenience, it is typically located at the front desk.

If you are concerned, it might be wise to contact some form of higher authority. Or, if your are disinclined to involve the police, you could investigate yourself. There are only ten floors that will require any amount of scrutiny.

[She just gave a confirming sound to that. a Mmmhmm, because his assumptions were all correct.]

Ten floors... yes. [This was said more to herself, as if she were considering this. It couldn't hurt to check, right? Maybe she should have someone else do so. Talk to the manager or something. She only gave another confirming sound] That's a good idea.

I am sure I will hear what, if anything, is discovered in this potential investigation. Particularly if the situation is as bad as you suspect. But as a follow up question, what is your name?
