[The NV happens to be on at the far side of the room, though Frau has no idea that it is.  A corner of the camera is covered by some porn books which had fallen off a shelf and knocked the machine on.  The partial video display picks up on Frau, who's leaning against the far wall.  His face isn't completely visible, but from the hunched over

[Just about the last thing he'd been expecting was to hear someone's voice. He whirls around, eyes wide, trying to identify where it came from. When he spots the little light on his NV it makes sense to him. He swears and slams his arm into the wall once more to force the scythe back into submission before striding over.]

Fine. Just pissed and...

[He doesn't want to say what comes next, but if he doesn't it will only bring up more questions. Outright lies aren't his thing, so he really hopes he doesn't need to explain it.]

[Sometimes, Fai's pretty sure he has a perverse sense of humor. Because this is just... the perfect time to poke a bit at his friend and return the favor, so to speak.

And here he is, his own person looking perfectly fine and healthy once again as he gives what is, honestly, a concerned look to the NV.]

[He wouldn't let you anywhere near the scythe. It would be too much of a risk. While you don't seem like the type of soul it would truly desire, he's not going to risk your life. Or, really, his own. Though that's what he's doing anyway.]

[That earns a bit of a frown, because while Fai doesn't know exactly what that things is, still, he's not one to pry. What he does know, however, is that whatever that thing is... it's causing this man some serious problems.

Which is why he frowns slightly and cants his head to the side. After all - there were ways to ask without asking.]
