[A hand rests on Shinji's shoulder from behind, almost carelessly. Kimihiko doesn't speak, not yet. He simply waits for Shinji to react. To say something. Dealing with him in this mood is odd. He's not sure how to do it. But he's calm, entirely and utterly.]

[The touch elicits a very small sigh from Shinji. That empty expression as he stares at the incoming messages turns up around the corners as his head falls back to lean on the back of the couch. Strangely, the anger subsides in him, the violent rage cooling off instantly as it had before, growing into a colder, less blatant flame. Something to eat the insides out instead of crisping the exterior. A tune comes to mind and falls from his lips as a whispered song before he can really even comprehend what it is.]

[Kimihiko's hand tenses on Shinji's shoulder at those words and he leans down over the back of the couch.]

[Shinji's eyes remain closed as the smirk grows wider. His lips close but he continues to hum the tune at least. It's familiar, something that riles and yet calms him. It reminds him of the time he found Kimihiko, and the time shortly before. When everything changed in his life and the people who had changed it suffered for it.

A time he has every intention of replicating.]

[Liquid's voice is utterly expressionless, betraying nothing of his emotions. It's a rare sound. For someone so utterly emotional, it was almost eerie to his own ears. Like Snake.]
