I butcher my Latin, but that's more because it turns out correspondence courses aren't the best way to learn languages. I do call out names for spells, but again that's just a foci, not something that's strictly necessary.

Some mornings I wake up wishing I had stronger "diffuse situations without violence" magic, but those are mostly the mornings I wake up with a lot of bruises.

Can you do spells that put a barrier to stop them from fighting? That would discourage them... eventually.

With the right spell you can do just about anything, it's a matter of whether or not you have the time and ability to do it.
