[It's the voice that does it. Percy's scrambling for his NV, and pressing buttons at random. Work, you damn thing! He smacks it off a table, and THAT makes it work]

Nico! Nico, what do you mean they were people?!

[Well, that's one person that Nico didn't expect to be hearing from. He's quiet for a long moment of surprise.] Percy?

[He wants to say a whole bunch of different things at once, like: Where were you? Annabeth is going crazy- the whole world is going kinda crazy, and the Gods are being jerks... but he settles for working his jaw and shrugging lamely instead.] A long time ago, I think. They died. And someone- or something turned them into... this.

Get your sword out, and look for someplace indoors. Where are you?!

[Nico instantly frowns, in that overly-defensive-teenager way.] I'm fine, Percy. They're not exactly Cyclopes, are they? [Of course, he only says that because he hasn't met anything too big or bad wandering around yet. Either way, he sweeps the video around to focus on a couple skeletons standing nearby, rattling their jaws at him, to demonstrate that he can totally take care of himself. The backdrop of farmlands and a distant line of forest behind them make it fairly clear that he took off from the Diamond and headed straight north.] Besides, I have to wait for someone.
