[Gert's feeding Old Lace a pepperoni stick and looking surprisingly... not grumpy, for once.]

No, I didn't die. Sorry to disappoint.

I've actually been out of the house... apartment... kibbutz... I've been out a lot. Talking to the head of SPU's Poli-Sci department, actually. All those rallies and protests we had about a month ago ( Read more... )

At least I called it the right name this time.

Thanks, but you guys are already giving me a place to stay. I'm not going to put you out any more than that.

Sorry. Keep in mind the environment I came from before... well, the environment I just came from. Though, really, I suppose that would factor in, too. Either way, the money always springs to mind first, even when it turns out there's no monetary cost at all.

The accomplishment was convincing them to let me test at the AP level. Back home, I was likely going to graduate in my junior year.

But thanks. I'm... actually looking forward to it. It's no Mount Holyoke, but I've been scholastically starved for about a year and some change, now.

A liberal arts women's college in western Massachusetts. I was on the verge of earning a full scholarship there before I had to drop out of school back home.

Man, I would've loved that. Definitely liked college way more than the rest of school.

It's the first time you get to really go for your own reasons, instead of being forced by society. I always figured it would be liberating.
