This is one of those places that on the record does not officially exist. One of those conspiracy type places. You know like "The plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister!" and stuff like that.

As for the corporations, I don't know too much about them myself, they seem to have a reputation for doing some shady things, however.

That they're scientists is true enough. And the Core is said to be radioactive. SERO deals in human experimentation, particularly on those with powers.

If my own experience means anything-nothing with science and experiments is ever really 'abandoned.
