A conductive, finite piece of metal, a few other scraps, a gauge. Doesn't have to be fancy.

Well, I can't help you with the parts, unfortunately- I'm still scrounging for things, myself. By the way, it's rude to strand a scientist without access to her equipment. But once you get it working, I can help you boost it's power.

Actually, I could use a research assistant. I could probably get you the parts eventually and I even have my own lab and everything. It just needs a few more touches and it'll be operational, although it'll take a bit more work to be fully functional.
