So Angel arrives and a few days later, Faith disappears. And then Fred showed up too. Can't say I'm really upset about that trade off, all things considered.

Pretty much. He made it sound like they'd all get slaughtered or something if everyone didn't take at least one. Sounds like his tactic worked though.
