[Hope might sound a bit... strange. Not sick, but just a bit more mature. And are the cracks in his voice gone? Either way, the tone is clearly disgruntled.]

I thought that person in the news turned people into kids.

[There's a pause, the embarrassment thick enough in the silence that it's hard to miss.]Kind of glad that I was pretty much home ( Read more... )

[asdgah I AM TYPOING EVERYWHERE TONIGHT, I'm sorry... I said Home... I can really read, I know his name is Hope, haha]

Yes, I've seen that. I'm glad that's the case, it's really a testament of how wonderful people can be. [haha, she laughs a tiny bit, like she realizes... that was totally cheesy]

[[ooc: np, that's just what I assumed. XD]]

Well-- some people. There are others to stay away from, though. But then I guess it would be strange if this place had one but not the other.

[ooc: haha, thank you :')]

That is true.... [haha, her sister being among them :/] This place... it's just as average as it is strange.

I think it's a good thing. Well, not the fact that we have bad people here-- but that people are still people. Powers and stuff may be different, but I'm pretty sure we'd be a lot more freaked out if people behaved differently than what we're used to.

Another world is one thing, crazy pod people is something else completely.

As if the Core to only brought us here... but controlled us as well? [yeah, not digging that idea]

You're right, that would be... unnerving to say the least.

Pretty much. Maybe we wouldn't notice, but I think that seems worse than just being brought here.

So maybe that's one thing to be thankful of?

Yes. As complicated as this place seems to be, it would be silly to ignore the small blessings.

That's true.

[There's a somewhat awkward moment while he tries to work out what to say.]

Have you been doing okay here, though? It's really different, but it shouldn't be terrible.

Oh! Yes, I've been fine. Thank you...

How long have you stayed here?

Months? Nearly a year.

It-- I can say it really does get better? Kind of. It's just the first month that's hard.

I believe you. This city doesn't seem... ideal, but coming to understand it seems to be the hardest part.

And... if this isn't too personal of a question, how old are you normally?

Uhhh, me? Fourteen?

[There's a pause, and he has to consider it.]

...Maybe fifteen by now.

Is there a reason that you aren't sure?

Oh, um. Just a different calendar system. And I didn't really think about it.
