[ The sounds of some scuffling can be heard amidst the static and some frustrated under-the-breath mumbling. After a couple seconds it clears up, but only a little. ]

-- what? Why do I have to press that? Do I-- [ ... sigh ... ] No, can’t I just- Is there a menu, maybe--

[ Some more muttering; Angel’s busy flipping his NV around and trying to ( Read more... )

[The video may seem jumpy because Cordelia is already out the door and headed toward the baseball diamond.]

Siren's Port. It's in Canada, at least technically.

[ Jumpy as it may be, Angel would know that voice anywhere. And the amount of shock he's in right now just about doubled. ]

Cordy?

Yes! ... You were just as bad at using the NV as you are now.

It's not that bad once you get the hang of it. [ good thing the camera's self-righting even though he's probably got it upside-down. ]

What makes you think anyone on the Network is more inclined to tell you what you want to know if you can't even be bothered to read? I realise there isn't a sign that says 'Welcome to Siren's Port, Canada, prison to the weird and wonderful', but I think it's rather self-explanatory.

I read the sign. I read the pamphlet. I want to know what they're leaving out.

Mm, let's see. Soap is far too expensive, halter necks are still in fashion, [He shudders, visibly] and everyone here seems to have their own little crusades to go on. It really is quite sweet. Not the answers you were looking for?

[ Angel has already deduced that this guy isn't going to be anything close to helpful. And it's right around now that he's really horribly thankful that Spike is here, not that he'd ever say it out loud. But at least he can rely on Spike to not bullshit around all of his questions, among other things.

But as much as he doesn't want to, he might as well play this game. It's harder to make friends than it is to make enemies, so he better start working at it now. ]

I didn't know they were in fashion to begin with.

Thanks, I got that. Except it's the part of Canada that no one knows about.

'Fraid so. I take it you weren't anywhere near Canada when you got nabbed?

So have all the blanks been filled in for you?

I've got more blanks than I know what to do with.

This will be fun, like Mad Libs. Try putting in "alternate dimension" "kidnapped" and for 'by' put "the Core".
