Why do you want jokes?

My father had a few that I don't think are... appropriate. [Cough. They always came out late at night after a few pints. Along with the old marching songs.]

[She frowns, trying to think of something.] Hmm. When I was younger a traveling Fool from Ankh-Morpork stayed at the pub for a couple of nights. One of his jokes was: 'Did ye hear about the man who brought a paper shope?' 'It Blewe Away'. [She makes a fair attempt at copying his dictation, pan face and then encouraging and slightly hopeful grin at the end included.]

I guess that's true. We have a lot of regulars, but it's pretty famous, and people do come in from far away. I met more... exciting people in the army.
