[ As the communication opens, there is the sound of violent gasping and panting. After a few moments, the breathing slows just a tad, enough for a raspy voice to speak up. ]

[Misa's startled awake by the sudden panting coming from her NV, which she'd forgotten to close before going to bed. She climbs out and goes over to it as the message plays, though a feral howl outside her window makes it kind of hard to hear him.

Misa does get what's going on: Oh crap, someone's arrived during the Darkness. That's Really Not Good.

She quickly starts a reply. Worried Misa is worried!]

You might wanna head for the dugouts right away, mister. Or-- do you see an apartment building? Everyone gets a free apartment, so if the way there looks safe you can come here. [She would really prefer not to listen to someone die at least when they haven't done anything to her/Light/Kira. :<]

[ There's a few moments of silence. He's obviously stopped dead in his tracks and listened. That was pretty scary, almost reminiscent of the roars he hears in his mind and in his dreams. He finally speaks up again, voice raspy and still ragged. ]

Hey... none of those names sound like people here, but you might not want to worry about that right now. It's so dark because it's late... and if you don't move soon you might die there.

Like the others said, either find the apartments or go hide in the dug outs. There's just a bit longer till the sirens will go off again. Either work your way this way, or lock yourself into the dug out.

[A pause before he ads]
