So this still functions here?

[There's a tapping sound, someone inspecting his NV.]Strange. I am certain that I am no longer in the world I belonged in. I have no consciousness of what this "Canada" is-- unless some explorer happened to find this land while I was asleep. Your scientists are awfully alike, though. Pesky. Intolerable. I would have ( Read more... )

Anyone on the Newcomer network - that is, anyone that has been brought here by the Core. Excluding those who have their NVs turned off.

Welcome to Siren's Port. And those are not our scientists, though scientists are always the same, it seems.

I see. Hm. They get tiring quickly. I would have killed them all if I didn't have the mind enough to simply let them go do as they pleased.

I'd never have had the patience to deal with them. Thankfully they're a recent problem; SERO only started occupying the baseball field about a month and a half ago.

SERO... this is one of those two factions, yes? A greeter was telling me of the island's situation.

Yes. The other is AGI, Afterglow Incorporated.

I see. Is there anything I should take note about them aside from their rivalry?

If you go up against them, you're dead. They don't take much lightly. Also they employ Voids and Nulls, people that inhibit the use of magic. So if you cross them, you're going up against an army that will eliminate you and anyone you care about.

Neither of them are good companies. One deals in mad-scientist levels of creepy, the other deals in slavery. Both of them have a high level of power in the Port.

Hm. I'm not interested in them, anyway. I have had enough of companies taking my time.

Heh. Considering what you said about scientists, I'm hardly surprised.

Hm. Glad to see someone sees it my way.

I'm hardly going to disagree. It seems any company that gains a high level of power thinks itself infallible.

Oh, I've proven that one can become crippled when its greatest strengths have been torn from them.

[There's approval in his voice.] Congratulations! Perhaps they'll learn from it.

Hm. They still held an amount of power when I went to sleep, though. But I doubt they really have been able to function the same.

Companies like that should be razed to the ground so they can never rise up again.

That was what I attempted to do.
