I- I didn't get a very good look. It seemed like kind of a young man. Fair hair - blond, I'd guess, but it was dark. He was carrying a sword. His eyes were red.

[Luca seems to think well of Gilbert, and while Luca's judgment is obviously impaired in some areas, Czeslaw decides to trust it this time.]

There's one important fact to this story I've been leaving out. I'd like you to keep it under your hat as much as possible, and I think you'll understand why once I tell you.

I'm an immortal. I heal from any physical harm performed on my body, even wounds that should be fatal.

I didn't escape that thing. It stabbed me several times with its tongue until I could no longer move, and then it severed my head from my neck.

The next person that happens to probably won't be able to walk away.
