[When the NV comes on, Sylar's lounging back in a chair, comfortable as can be. Because that's what he does. He adapts.

Or pretends to. While talking in a smarmy voice.]

So, you know. I've got this problem. I was minding my own business, having my little family reunion one minute, and the next? I'm here. I got my own apartment, which was nice, ( Read more... )

What, you don't have one-way turnstiles where you come from?

Sure I do. Doesn't mean I saw any when I got here.

Might not have seen it, but the Core's like that. Simple logic.

And mounties. Pretty sure I read the pamphlet.

Ha~! If there really were mounties here, there'd be no complaints from me.

Sadly it's just boring old SERO and AGI, and their dreary Voids.

How's that?

And what's with SERO and AGI, anyway? Do you have the scoop on that? Inquiring minds want to know.

I always thought Canada was like a joke country.

[Midna's reply comes much later in the day, after the sun has gone down.]

Logic has no place where the Core is concerned. Even if we could leave, the Pull would kill us. We're all quite stuck.

How does the Pull do that?

Some suspect it is the radiation that the core gives off. It seems to have no ill effects besides preventing us from leaving on a permanent level and in some cases altering or gifting powers to those who did not have them before.

The core was only recently found and there has been no conclusive information gathered since Sero started to study it.

It seems quite common for people to come here with others from their world. Perhaps you are not alone?

Oh, trust me, I'm not alone. I already ran into my brother.
