I take it dying here is pretty common then. Is there a high rate of street crime?

Well, it's -- it's not unheard of, anyway. And there's ... a decent amount of crime. A lot of it is unofficial crime perpetrated by the companies and such.

So it's not that different from the outside world, then.

Your outside world must be pretty bad, then.

This place is worse since... practically everyone's got some kind of superpower.

All worlds have crime, I'd assume. Japan's pretty low on the crime levels compared to other countries, but we still have it.

Practically everyone, huh? So I wonder what an ordinary person like me is doing here.

Well... if you didn't have a power before you came here, a lot of people find that they gain something.
