[Magneto is always right children, lets never forget this. As such, he sounds extremely amused and smug.]

Well. I suppose today answers the questions of whether or not the Core was 'dead'.

Ya know, it's not nice to be so damned smug, Michael.

[Just for Jubilee! Have a video of Magneto. From some weird angle. Kicked back and just elegantly lounging over his work chair, head tilted back to look up at the NV, fingers interlaced behind his head. The grin can only be politely described at 'smug' but - for the first time in a long while, his eyes are actually alight and HAPPY.]

Who said I was nice, Jubilee?

[She switches to video. She's lounging on the roof, a soda at hand with french fries too.]

Well, not me, but still....

[He might ACTUALLY be spinning around in his chair, with the NV following. Slowly though, no need to get crazy about. Magneto happy. The world should be in awe.]

Not nice, be a bigger personal, all that?

Doesn't really fit me does it?

[Francis has practically the same smug grin on his lips as he turns on the NV.]

I suppose it does. I would love to see their faces right now.

[Not that he doesn't like you but voice is his default. Besides, you don't need to see his face to HEAR the smile in his voice, do you?]

As would I, although I suppose we should be responsible people and prepare ourselves for however many the Core throws at us this month.

[Yeah...beginning to see that person who got into drunken bar fights for FUN beneath all that grump?]

[And France's default mode of communication is video, because he's always been rather vain.]

I will always try to help those that ask for it. That most of the Tower Apartments belong to us now is at least a small blessing.

[Oh Erik is PLENTY vain. He's just paranoid.]

It is, and that was an excellent speech you gave. We might want to be prepared, having some emergency meals planned, things in the freezer, so on.

I didn't think there was any question of that.

The arrival of newcomers has often been cyclical, and sometimes irregular, at least that's what I'd heard from the citizens.

I suppose this does mean renovations at the towers need to move along expediently, though. Who's stepping in for the landlord, until they can locate him? Greeters, I assume?

You'd be surprised at how many times I've heard it. [It's a big computer. One he very much wants to play with. So...selective hearing/viewing of the Network applies.]

I'm not sure. I suppose Greeters would be best. The renovations will need to be stepped up, at least some of them. Others can wait to their normal schedule.

I think "anticipate the unexpected" is about the only thing that applies, when it comes to the Core.

The newcomer clinic will be opening soon. I would appreciate if you were still planning on helping us, but....please be sure to take the additional recovery time, as needed. Tenma and I should be able to hold things together to start it up.

How have you been doing, in any case?

Plan for the worst, which is something I always do.

Computers are predicable. Just because we don't understand the program doesn't mean it's unpredictable. [...The arrogance in this? He doesn't MEAN to come off that badly. But he does so LOVE to be right.]

I'm about healed up. Not ready to swing into thing full time but more than able to cover shifts.

I'm all right. Going to have some new aches and pains ones the weather turns but that's a risk of the lifestyle and really? For someone my age? I feel pretty good. [Yes, he KNOWS that's not what you are asking. And there may be rumours at Skye about him being ordered into therapy to keep his job. But right now? He's in a good mood and plans to enjoy it.]

I thought this might happen, to be honest.

At least that means SERO hasn't killed it... yet.

Honestly I think the Core would kill SERO before they could kill it. [He...doesn't sound displeased about this.]

Maybe. [He didn't want to say he'd rather that happened, too.]

But I wonder why there was no one and then suddenly a lot of people a day again.

Most likely because the program the Core is running on simply came to the 'Begin Pulling people here' code again, the same as before. I've written programs that run for four years prior to being finished. Longer, if you insert a 'repeat' code.
